"Caged Animal"

The central mask is a discarded, chrome-plated basket. The eyes on the mask are painted and sanded plywood. The nose, ears and whiskers are burnished sheet aluminum. The brow area has copper wire stitched through it.The mouth process is an old brass-plated hinge. The box's plywood base is hand stenciled, overlayed with chrome-studded leather. The leather is constricted within a brushed aluminum frame. The box's exterior is hand stenciled with copper tube scrolls mounted all around (inset photo).

"Blue Collar Reflection"

The central mask is painted and fitted cardboard. Its eye openings are brass speaker grille. The mouth is sheet aluminum riveted over an aluminum base with copper tubing inserted in the center. The box's base is painted plywood overlayed with translucent shells and upholstery tacs. The box itself is painted and drawn on over it's entire surface. The "fins" are burnished sheet aluminum riveted to wood.

"Barbarosa"

The central figure is a discarded doll head painted and topped with a hand-carved pine head. The eyes in the head are a taxidermist owl's eyes. The head also sports aluminum sheeting and push pins. The box's base is hand stenciled and overlayed with a painted paper-mache egg carton. The carton itself is studded with galvanized roofing nails. The surrounding box is hand stenciled on its sides, its front edge, hand-drawn with markers. The outer "fins" are burnished and stippled sheet aluminum.

"Mao in his Youth"

12"H x 9"W x 4"D - $200

The central figure is comprised of a discarded doll head. It's been painted red, it's eyes are screw-mounted washers. Its mouth - cooper tubing - and it's studded with carpet tacs. It has also been pierced left to right with a steel rod. A large eyehook festuned with sheet aluminum enters the head at its top. All of this is mounted on a bundle of painted, wooden dowels. These have been pierced with brass tubing on which are mounted severed, painted doll hands. This figure is flanked by two small totems made of wooden dowels, aluminum sheeting and copper flanges. The box's base is a discarded circuit board. The black painted containing box is sheathed in burnished sheet aluminum with copper tubing scraps that finish the exterior.
